What fear would you like to abandon forever?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 13, 2007:
My fear of not having a place to live, of being homeless. I actually was homeless for about a year, and it still scares me.

Wow.
A year is a long time to be homeless.
I saw a bumpersticker the other day that said
LIFE IS HOME
I love that.

I never actually slept in a shelter or on the street – I had friends to crash with, including one whom I'd just met who took me in and let me sleep in her place until I found a sublet I could afford. That's why I think I shouldn't be afraid of it, because I always had a warm place to sleep. But I didn't get to keep my cat, which was very hard for me.
