This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 19, 2008:
I usally think about how much I've hurt other people in the past, the mistakes I've made, the choices I've made that put me where I am now. Lots of regrets that I focus on too much. I have a hard time trying to move my mind off certain things that cause me pain, and seem to get stuck on feeling helpless.

Help

let it go darlin…we are the worst judge of our own life and would forgive another faster than we forgive ourselves.
Next time, remember how wonderful you are, how you are exactly the person you were meant to be and you are perfectly imperfect and unique in all ways!
Big hugs
Aley
Thanks, Aley. Perfectly imperfect and unique in all ways – that's funny!
sounds tough! a vicious circle perhaps?
Yeah, you might say that. I have been having a hard time enjoying things, and end up being stuck on the safer areas that also, ironically, make me feel sad.
you sit with your feelings
Hm, what does that mean?
I have the sense that you allow the sadness
and in this sense, you sit with your feelings
rather than deny them
You metion 'being stuck' and also say it's a vicious circle
it feels there is perhaps also
a lack of movement?
Maybe, yeah, as in I can't move out of my feelings.
I guess the thing is to practice the strength of this
- to focus on your acceptance
rather than the struggle
- could be meditative
letting go into
rather than feeling stuck with
